The DEO Clinic would not be possible without the determined volunteers who are dedicated to our mission. On average, medical volunteers serve approximately 3 hours per month and non-medical volunteers serve 4 hours each month.
Our passionate group of volunteers made possible more than 1,109 patient visits in 2016. As a member of the Georgia Volunteer Health Program, the DEO Clinic submits quarterly reports summarizing the number of patient visits and volunteer hours. During the past year, the clinic provided services valued at $102,043.00. This does not include numerous prescriptions, lab tests, and X-rays provided for our patients.
Our dedicated team of compassionate volunteers all share common qualities. They enjoy interacting with a variety of people, are passionate about helping those in need, and serve with hearts of caring and compassion. They have positive attitudes and share a common commitment to care for our needy patients with dignity, courtesy and thoughtful consideration.
We love our volunteers and are always looking for more. Call our Volunteer Coordinator Martha Wassum at 706-581-2009, or email Martha at firstname.lastname@example.org.
